Joe Robertson is the Member of Parliament for Isle of Wight East, having been elected in July 2024. In Parliament, Joe sits on the Health and Social Care Committee, working cross-party with a particular focus on adult social care reform and is Vice-Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Groups on Dementia, Kinship Care and Pharmacy. He also serves as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Shadow Departments for Culture, Media and Sport and Transport. Joe grew up on the Island and attended school in Ryde before qualifying as a family law solicitor. Joe later transitioned into the charity sector, joining Dementia UK, where he worked as an in-house advisor, negotiating contracts with the NHS, local authorities and other healthcare providers. He has served as an Isle of Wight Councillor since 2021 and was the Conservative group leader between 2021 and 2023. Joe lives in Bembridge with his wife, Tanya, and their two children.
