Richard has been a teacher, head teacher, town councillor and mayor in Ryde. He lives in the town and has raised his family here. Although no longer employed to work in schools, Richard remains a governor, is a member of the Network Ryde Steering Group and has a keen interest in education and the wellbeing of children and young people. He has joined the Neighbourhood Board to help to ensure that children and young people, their families and schools have a clear voice in decision making and that they are kept informed of opportunities and actions.
